Erin Niebrugge

Erin Niebrugge graduated from Eastern Illinois University in May of 2015 with a degree in Mathematics and a Professional Educator License. She began her teaching career at Effingham High School where she taught math for three years. In December of 2017, Erin obtained her master’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Shortly after obtaining her MBA, she began working at St. Elmo Junior/Senior High School where she taught both math and business for three years. St. Elmo gave her experience teaching Business and Marketing in cooperation with the Lake Land College Dual Credit Program.

Over the past four summers, Erin has worked for the Golden Apple Foundation as a reflective leader. In this position, she mentors and guides pre-service teachers through classroom struggles and experiences. This program gives education majors across the state the opportunity to gain classroom experience while also obtaining professional development from award winning teachers across the state. Being a 2011 scholar, Erin understands how that mentorship has been instrumental in her growth as an educator. She hopes to transfer the skills she has gained as a mentor through Golden Apple to the Fayette County CEO program.

Erin spent the 2021-2022 school year working as the Jasper County CEO facilitator while also teaching at Newton Community High School. While she thoroughly enjoyed her time with Jasper County CEO, she found herself deeply missing the St. Elmo Community. Erin is thrilled to be returning to Fayette County. She is excited to be working with students from Vandalia, Ramsey, Brownstown, and MAPS as well as reuniting with her students from St. Elmo. Erin also works for Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship assisting CEO facilitators and board members across the nation with the technical issues associated with their website and social media.
