Alumni Spotlight: Macy Behl | Class of 2019
During her time in CEO, Macy launched Lois Layne Boutique, a fashion and accessories brand that remains open today inside Beauty Mark in Vandalia.
She now gives back to the program that helped shape her future by serving on the Fayette County CEO Board. Through CEO, she landed an internship at a local warehouse and was later connected to a position in the County Clerk’s Office. Today, she works in the State’s Attorney’s Office as the Juvenile Division Assistant.
“The experiences provided in CEO expand way further than just in the classroom. Through community leaders and engaging mentors, I was able to expand my knowledge of career ethics and personal growth while forming my own business. These opportunities presented me with many career paths available in Fayette County. Without the guidance of this program teaching me the common skills needed not only to sufficiently run a business, but also how to be an upstanding community member, I wouldn’t be in the position I am today.”
Macy and her husband Luke now invest in the program through their business, Behl Welding, and are excited to welcome a baby girl in August.
