Today our students, along with Shelby County CEO, visited G L Beaumont Lumber Co. in Ramsey, IL — a family-owned sawmill that produces lumber, mulch, and wood chips for the forestry industry. Students got a firsthand look at how logs are transformed into useful products and what it takes to keep a successful operation running.
