Today we had the opportunity to hear from Taylor Quarles of Key Capture Energy — one of our newest Fayette County CEO investors!

Key Capture Energy develops, owns, and operates large-scale battery energy storage projects across the country, helping create a more reliable and resilient electric grid. Taylor serves as Executive Vice President of Development, overseeing projects from identifying potential sites through the development process and ultimately handing them off for construction.

Taylor shared plenty of great advice with our students today:

→ Do the scary things. Growth often happens when you’re willing to step outside your comfort zone.

→ Know the rules. Regulations can vary greatly depending on where you’re doing business, so take the time to understand what is required.

→ Expect things to go wrong. Challenges are part of the process, but hard times are temporary.

→ “This too shall pass.” A great reminder that applies to both the good times and the difficult ones.

→ Your path won’t be linear. Say yes to opportunities because you never know where they might lead.

Thank you, Taylor, for spending the morning with our students and sharing your experiences, and thank you to Key Capture Energy for investing in Fayette County CEO and the next generation of entrepreneurs!
